Stepping Out on Saturdays (SOS) Camp

Stepping Out on Saturdays (SOS) Camp is a therapeutic recreation program, designed to offer children a fun day in a supportive environment.

This program is for children 5-12 years old who have a diagnosis of FASD or have been referred for assessment at the Manitoba FASD Network.

To be eligible, your child must be:

  • Age 5-12 years old
  • Diagnosed with FASD or on the waitlist for assessment
  • Priority is given to children involved with Child & Family Services

The program is offered in Winnipeg, Brandon, Selkirk, Thompson and Bloodvein. The Winnipeg SOS Camp is offered one Saturday a month by the Rehabilitation Center for Children at SSCY (1155 Notre Dame).

Inclusive Recreation Manitoba is a website developed by the SSCY/RCC Family Network, intended to provide snapshot of the recreation opportunities that are available for children and teens with additional needs in Manitoba.

City of Winnipeg Leisure Guide

The City of Winnipeg releases a Leisure Guide each season with a variety of recreational programs for all ages, skill levels and interests.

They provide both registered programs for a fee, and free programs offered on a drop-in basis. Fee subsidies for registered programs are available for those who qualify.

Art City

Art City is a non-profit community art studio located at 616 Broadway in Winnipeg. They provide people of all ages with innovative and professional art programming, free of charge. Art City’s primary goal is to provide space and tools for anyone who wishes to express themselves creatively.
